  • Daniel Lin - Chairman, Board Member

  • Daniel K. Lin co-founded Spirit Spine with his younger brother Chris and is currently serving as the chairman of the company.

    Daniel has previously served as junior Vice President at Dimicron Inc. in 2007, a medical device company that developed the diamond-crystalline artificial spinal disc.

    Daniel was previously a co-founder of Crosstrees Medical Inc., a minimally invasive spinal device company that develop the instrument for VCFs, and have served as Vice President of R&D until 2004. Daniel has nearly 20 years of experience in the Spinal industry.

    Daniel has a B.S. degree from University of Southern California.

  • Kwan Chiun (Chris) Lin - Co-Founder, Board Member (Non-Executive)

  • Chris Lin co-founded Spirit Spine with Daniel and is currently serving as a non-executive director and advisor of the company.

    Chris is well-known as one of the most successful Internet entrepreneurs and businessman in Taiwan. He co-founded KKBOX, Asia's largest Internet music streaming service where he currently serves as the company's CEO.

    Chris has a M.S. degree in Operations Research from Stanford University.

  • Jiann-Shing Hsieh - Chief Operating Officer, Board Member

  • Mr. Hsieh has over 30 years of experiences in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Among his earlier contributions at Central Medical Technologies, Inc., one of Spirit Spine’s manufacturing facility, Mr. Hsieh played a key role in significantly expanding and diversifying the company’s global product portfolio, pipeline and manufacturing footprint.

    Previously Mr. Hsieh has served as Executive Director of Sage Pharmaceuticals and President of Yung Yeou Trading Co., Ltd, a government-owned Veterans Pharmaceutical Plant (VPP) of The Veterans Affairs Commission (VAC).

    Mr. Hsieh received a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from National Defense Medical Center.

  • Sharp Lin, Ph.D. - Chief Research Officer

  • As chief research officer, Dr. Lin works in close collaboration with international IP agencies and national health science center to facilitate the growth of research and intellectual properties in Spirit Spine.

    In industry, Dr. Lin acquired a technical background and knowledge base that has significant breadth and depth, with technical areas of expertise including, chemistry, science, data mining, and software development/programming/systems.

    Beyond technology, Dr. Lin has significant experience in invention and intellectual properties management. Prior to joining Spirit Spine, Dr. Lin served as President in several prestigious IP firms, where he, along with other members of the firm, prepared and/or prosecuted patent applications in a wide variety of technical areas.

    In addition to patent prosecution, Dr. Lin has, in a support capacity, been a significant contributor to validity opinion, infringement study, and licensing initiatives.

  • Jack Ting, Senior VP, P.R.

  • Jack joins Spirit Spine after thirteen years in the sales & marketing sectors where he has successfully closed several business projects such as COSTCO, The Home Depot, etc.. While working on those projects, Mr. Ting also involved with the productions, which brought him a great experience to understand how the supply chain system works.

    Mr. Ting earns his Master's degree of science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
